    Hong Kong | 1988 BMW E30 325i Cabrio

Member here since 2003 and have been through a few E30's in the past 10 years. I moved to HK in 2011 and knew I would somehow end up with an E30 out here as well and here she is and the modifications done thus far.

*I still have my red E30 in Cali for whenever I go back to visit

    1988 BMW E30 325i Cabrio (Automatic)
    New Paint
    New Leather Seats
    H&R Sport Springs
    Bilstein Sport Shocks

Going forward I’m considering a Supersprint exhaust, Smileys + Wiper system, M-Tech II wheel, and sometime down the road swap the E30 to a manual but I’m in no rush. I’ll also refinish the 15” Weaves and try to keep the car as basic / original as possible. She’s fun to drive around Hong Kong and gets a lot of looks which is always a great feeling.

    Thanks for viewing!

If your car is 6yrs or older you have to pass MOT.

Thanks! Sushi in HK is great, but even better in Japan! If you ever come down this way I suggest dim sum instead = )

If someone in HK is driving an E30 then you know they're one of us. All the ones I see are in great condition too, most garage kept. I've seen an few M-Tech II verts and its also great that one of my neighbors owns 2 E'30s and is really in the scene. You can see his E30 M3 in this post i put up a while ago

My uncle loved my car so much we also searched and found one for him. His is a 1990 E30 325i Cab...

There are some suspicious things I noticed like Euro bumps on a later model, and the color was changed from Cirrus blau to this red, it was probably in a wreck but he didn't care and took it anyways

Car was purchased for HKD 56,000 which is around 7,000 USD

Do you ever see any E30 Coupes there? I've been a number of times and my Dad lives there. He would love to find a couple but he's only ever seen the convertibles?

Also found the same issue. Most E30's here are automatics as well..... I think those with Manual / Coupe combo arent selling.

                      I found mine here www.28car.com

                        Hi Guys!

I just purchased an e30 cabrio two weeks ago. Took me such a long time to find an original Factory 5 speed cabrio here in Hong kong. I was wondering if any of you guys in HK know a good place to service and maintain the e30? I'm new to car ownership in Hong kong and I'm looking for a good mechanic on the Island to replace the timing belts and service the car.

Any info would be much appreciated :)

                        Cheers,

                        Ryan

HK Car Meet! Lets do this!

My mechanic is pretty decent. He'll be doing the auto to manual swap on my car.
