    Hello World

Hi r3vsters! Being that I am new to the forum I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and let everyone know a little of my experience with cars in general. First off, I have been a Honda guy for the past 15 years and know pretty much everything there is to know about B-series and K-series motors to include the cars they come in and the cars they can be swapped into; however, I have since sold all of my Hondas and currently own four BMWs. I look forward to reading of everyone's BMW experiences and to sharing my own experiences as well.

This is my current project and the last car that I've purchased to date:
    90 E30 325is

This is first BMW I purchased two years ago:
    11 E90 M3

This is the second BMW I purchased this year after selling my 98 Integra:
    02 E46 M3

This is the third BMW I purchased this year after selling my 00 Civic:
    98 E36 M3

This is the fourth BMW I purchased this year which I later sold to offset the purchase cost of 325is:
    91 E30 325i

This the Honda track car that I sold after owning and building for the past 15 years in order to purchase the E46. Only an action photo will suffice here. (Gone but never, ever forgotten...)
    98 DC4 Integra RS

Proof that e30 M3s are of a higher class than other M3s? Guy has 3 different generations of M3s, but has a 325i e30. Hmm...

Perhaps not so much "high[er] class" but availability or lack there of. The E30 M3, considering it's limited production for the US and the fact that so many of them have been wrecked, chopped up, and parted out it is just simple math in terms of supply and demand.

        Proof that a 20+ year old M3 isn't worth 30 grand.

His e90 cost more than most e30 m3s out there. Just because the e30 version is a cult classic does not mean it is worth more ;)

Nice collection! The e90 M3 is my all time favorite M3 made to date. Sure it is bigger, but it is amazing looking! Welcome to r3v. Watch out, e30 owners are elitists. Drive your e90 around and flick off e30 owners. They will come post here about it ;)

I never said that it cost more. Price has has nothing to do with worth or attainability.

And besides, it was a joke.

Thanks for the welcome F34R. I was starting to think I may have been off to a rough start considering none of the three Ms I own is an E30M, haha. Nonetheless, the E30 325is I currently have suits me quite nicely and once I am finished with the motor will be my daily driver.

Welcome! Awesome collection of cars. The E46 M3 will always be my favorite. That Integra looks mean. Any plans for the E30?

Wow - interested to hear your thoughts on E36/46/90 M3s since you are in the unique position of owning all three. In what order would you sell them if you had to? Which one do you daily? Which do you take for a sunday drive? Roadtrip, etc.?

                  I love the 4dr E90 M3 - with the v8, it's kinda like a smaller, more nimble, higher revving E39 M5. It's the E9x M3 that I'd buy (well - since there's no E91 M3).

Thanks! I love the E46M but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my Integra. I am working on a 24v swap for the E30; currently in the process in rebuilding the motor before it goes in.

The E36M feels the most track oriented of the three, IMO. Granted the E46M has a SMG transmission so it is not a direct comparison to the other which have manual transmissions but it feels the most nimble in terms of handling. The E46 is my daily driver. The E90M has a 6MT, comp package, no sunroof, and does everything awesome while looking awesome! Some may beg to differ. The E90 is my weekend car (is my wife's car ;D).
