The other weekend I was hanging out with my buddy John - owner and founder of the SoCal Vintage BMW Show, and Vintage Motorsport Group - who is an official vintage BMW hoarder. John either owns or has owned some of the rarest vintage BMWs around, and isn't scared to drive them. The SoCal Vintage BMW Group organizes fun drives and events that truly bring the BMW community together like a family.
Here are a few shots of one of his coolest (and one of his personal favorites) BMWs - his 1972 BMW 2000 Touring. Sporting the ///M livery, and some awesome 15" Alpinas, sets John's touring apart from most that I've seen. But best of all it has lots of character! The paint and body show some age and imperfections, and the interior has some wear, but it's because John drives the hell out of this little go-kart. With a custom coil-over suspension, all bushings done, and a nicely modded M10, this car is a blast to drive in the twisties!
