thanks for the compliments on the house. It was "given" to us, but damn, a 100 year+ old house costs a ton to redo/upkeep. It is the reason i put a big hold on the M3 for a few years.
unfortunately, the dog is no longer around, she died a few months back, she was old, and hurtin.
That EVO was done right, its friggin crazy how much money is wrapped up in it, and the owner isnt really a hands on kinda guy, but wants to fiddle with it. I just thought it was totally stupid that a "rally" car would need so much done just to remove an alt. honestly took atleast 3.5 hours, and i can do an E30 alt in less than 20min.
the car is nice and fast, but has too many of those japanese gadgets and crap all over in it, and it is one loud ass car to ride in. I would never recommend one of those cars to anyone. being all over that car, it doesnt seem like a very" sturdy car" everything is so thin, and small, and looks like it would break easy if I was to drive it the way I treat my old E30. maybe im wrong, but i dont care much for it.

Your car is exactly the way I envisioned mine to look like when I'm done with it.

What do you do for living? I have heard Germany is very hard to get employment in as a foreigner.

I work for the U.S. army. repairing vehicles that are returning from iraq. I am looking at getting out of that, because its a headache, and always time contracts. so there are times where i am not working, living off my savings. Its really hard for anyone to get a job over here, including the germans. the unemployment rate here is really high.
its def. not really easy here if you are not german. thank god there are still u.s. soldiers here, when they go, i think i will have to go--the germans are going to goout of control when the U.S. leaves.

you can say i am lucky, but there are alot of days that i wish i wasnt here, and am ready to just give up all of the crap here to come back to the U.S.
alot of days i am really happy, its just hard living where people are so different in thier way of thinking. but all in all, its OK here.

Well thats a good gig then. I lived there as a kid (army brat), and I think its a great experience but you do appreciate America in a different way. Live it up while you can and good luck man.
