Not worth it, UNLESS you can find the parts for almost free, AND fix it yourself- then you'd have a car that's not worth alot of $$$, but could be a decent beater. Otherwise, sell it as a parts car, or part it out.

Not worth fixing it. E30's are cheap enough that there's no way fixing this is a more cost effective choice than starting fresh. Also, that is some SERIOUS unibody damage, and since it's already been "fixed" in the most crap-tastic way, it's useless to try and reverse.

Part the car out. The interior was very clean, if I remember correctly, clean up the wheels and sell them for a nice chunk. That'll get you almost $800 there. It only takes a few minutes to pull the interior, and spend a few hours on the wheels and they'll sell for a couple hundred.

Part it out. Otherwise you're kicking yourself in the ass, and losing a lot of potential money.

PS - sell me the maplight mirror, no matter what you do :)

Keep us posted. If you need help determining what's worth money, how much everything is worth, what to keep, what to sell, etc - PM me, I've gone through 15 e30's and I've got a good idea of what everything is worth. I've helped a few other guys on here price stuff out, and don't mind at all.

Explain to your dad that you'll make more parting it out than selling it, and he should be ok with it. Find a local buyer for the shell w/drivetrain, sell everything else.

e30's are fucking cheap. don't waste your time. buy one that isnt so messed up.

get a shell and transfer all the crap over.. like joe 318is did..you've got a good engine, tranny, interior, wheels etc.. pic up a beater witha blown engine for 500$ (make sure it's straight though). and transfer all the crap over.. it'll be hella fun to do, and you will learn alot about your car.
