Hey guys, so recently I've become extremely fond of craigslist I've just been hitting great deals (IMO) so after picking up a 2005 Suzuki c50 with 317miles for 3k flat I've been daily searching it for good deals and what not, so one night before bed in looking around for bikes and random cars I do a search for vintage euro cars to see what's on the market, not much came up and I remembered back when I was a sophomore in college I did extensive searches for 635s and varies models of the e24, so I did searched 6 series for fun one late night as I'm laying in bed. I stumbled upon a dad for a super clean e24 at a great price. The guy literally wrote a novel about this car and just by that I was sold. The po was definitely passionate about his bmws and had an e36 m3 as well a an e34 in his garage. I quickly emailed him hoping it wasn't a scam and awaited a response. The next day I didn't hear anything from him so I sent him another message just to make sure he received my first email. Shortly after I get a text message and quickly set up an appointment.
I saw the car the next day and looked at the car, the owner told me one day the vex hike stalled on him when he was out and it has developed a hiccup since and he didn't have the funds to fix her up. The motor wasn't running properly due to a misfire and she was only running on 5 cylinders, I bit the bullet and hoped it wasn't anything major.
We agreed and a price of 2300 and I drove her home slowly with my father.
I drive her straight to my mechanic and he said the motor is strong, compression is good and all she needed was a value adjustment!
I made an appointment with a local BMW specialist to get her up to par for Thursday!
I would like to introduce you r3vers to Leslie, my 1987 (coincidently same year as my e39) BMW 635csi L6 with 175k miles.
So as of right now my plans are to keep her stock till I can afford a nice clean suspension set up and I will be putting bbs rs' on her once my funds allow me to.
