Traded my e30 for a e34. Build Thread.

So I traded Guinevere my 1990 325i/A for Emma a 1994 530i/5! I'm super excited and love driving her ;D

Here is Sir Lancelot my first car/e34 and Guinevere the $300 Beater

:):):):) And here is Emma :):):):)

The list of things to do to her is long.
    Interior -
    - Replace front & rear seats
    - Replace shift surround
    - Get stock speakers for the rear & midrange. Already replaced tweeters and I'm checking today to make sure the front speakers are stock
    - Install G.A.S (Luke Box) and amp. RCA's are already ran and the PO used an adapter for the stereo harness so no chopped up wiring like my 525i!
    - Dye the rear deck black
    - Headliner in black
    - Rear headrests I have them I just need the mounts
    - Rear storage compartment arm rest just need to install
    - Auto dim rear view mirror I need to install but the mount broke off the windshield =(
    - Rear map lights
    - Tint windows!
    Exterior -
    - Hood
    - Grill
    - Front fenders
    - Front & Rear Bumpers
    - M5 Side Skirts
    - Windshield
    - Paint
    - Wheels I'm not sure what I want yet
    Mechanical -
    - Get suspension fixed
    - Moar Low
    - Oil Level Sensor
    - Spark plugs
    - Recharge the Air Conditioning and replace the belt
    - Center support bearing

I know that the list will get longer But that okay because Emma is worth it :D

FYI, your valance is intact. Perhaps you're referring to the front lip spoiler?

I'd do the 5 speed swap and engine refurb at the same time..

Yes I did mean the Lip. The valance is bent a little on the left but that should be easy to fix. I'm really excited I pick it up tomorrow. I currently drive a e34 and its hard to work on your DD. I plan on getting this running and then I'll have a car to drive and a car to work on at the same time.

The irony. I want sport seats and they all are more than $300 Anything I buy for this car will probably cost more than I paid for it. Even the headunit I want on the car is $250 or so. I could almost bought a new amp for my e34 for $200! I'm glad I didn't!

Very nice car, only paid $400 for my 325is with the same problem. Looks like you got a great deal with this.

About how much did it cost you to repair the motor? I pick it up tomorrow and then I can start digging into the engine to see how much damage was done.

New head, headgasket and timing belt. You can do it as cheaply as you like.

Best place to source parts? Would it be safe to get a head from a junkyard? I go often I've never had to get engine parts though.

                      Great find!
Junk yards are great for parts! You just need to know what to get and what not to get lol.
However, a head with hundreds of miles always needs a new resurfaced face.

How can I never find anything like this!?!?
great deal whether it needs a new drivetrain or not, that shell is worth more.
