    That's the funny thing. Supposedly he replaced the water pump with in the last year why didn't he replace the timing belt too?! Oh well if he did I wouldn't have picked her up for $300 =)

    I would replace the water pump / gasket too. happened to me that the bitch started leaking loads after I replaced the timing belt.

    So I picked her up yesterday and got a new cylinder head for her today. Tomorrow I will tear apart the engine and see if the cylinder head is the only part damaged. What seals & belts should I replace when I replace the cylinder head? Head gasket & timing belt, anything else?

    Junk yards are great for parts! You just need to know what to get and what not to get lol.
    However, a head with hundreds of miles always needs a new resurfaced face.

    Best place to source parts? Would it be safe to get a head from a junkyard? I go often I've never had to get engine parts though.
