    Evolution of my 318iS

    Hi all,

Well it's almost been a year since I've purchased my E30. I want to share with you the progress of the car as I've noticed it's been through some stages since ownership.

I document more of the car in my personal blog which can be seen here, but here's some highlights.

January 2013 - I bought the car without seeing it in person. Bold move for such a detailed search, but I think because the 3 cars I had my eyes on before this one sold from under me I didn't want to take any more risks. This was the first video sent to me by a friend as it was being delivered.

    Delivery video

Followed by it's first shots of it in my friends garage. It took me about 6 months total to find this particular car with these options - 318iS, white on tan (like all of my cars) , with no rust, damage or accident history.

It's first trip out and first tank of gas. I had already started removing parts in preparation for what was on order which explains the missing badges.

February 2013 - The car received a full paint correction by Gary Dean

March/April 2013 - Euro pieces came in as well as interior bits

June - August 2013 - After much back and forth I decided on Bilstein Sports and H&R Race Springs. At this time I also met the previous owner while I was in California (which can be seen on my blog)

    August 2013 -
Found a set of five BBS RS003 and had them refinished for the car. I also managed to obtain some very clean seats.

    September 2013 -
I'd say though it was barely driven, this was it's prime month.

December 2013 (now) - The car is back on stock 14" while my wheels get refinished again.. I recently moved to Miami and the construction on the streets here lead to 1 damaged lip and 1 damaged barrel … I wish someone had let me know finding replacement parts for the RS003 would be twice as hard as finding the wheels to begin with…

Not sure what the next year will bring. I've been itching to have some more power to play with.. Something along the lines of an E36 M but we'll see.

Great looking car. It gives me some inspiration for the 318is that I bought last month.

Love the look of your IS and the BBS rims. Alpinweiß II is one of THE best E30 colors. Of course I'm partial to Alpinweiß II. lol

Very Nice! Maybe a meatier tire on those 003's if the roads are bad. 225/45? Whats on there now?
