Hopefully plans include some thorough TLC instead of fucking up on worthless mods. I say repaint in original red it looks like?

Best way to build a car up is to start with one that's already in good driving order. First thing would be to give it a tuneup/make sure all general maintenence is up to date. Then paint and then suspension.

that's not the original red? :)

Hey, well, yeah, I guess at this point, you sorta need to decide what your goals are and how long you're going to keep your car. I guess, where do you want the car to be in a year, or two?

My first car was a comprable project... that project was cut short by a fatal combination of rust, disinterest, expensive parts, shop labor, and a girlfriend.

I guess the first step is to figure out what needs fixing and find a source of good used parts nearby, unless your girlfriend works at a parts counter...

So, is it going to be a commuter? restoration classic? track-rat? rolling subwoofer? let us know your plans!

What fun is that? They're all old, find one with no rust and go to town replacing stuff. Talk to me in 2 yrs and 10k later, I may have a different opinion.
