I remember day 1, has it really been 6 years? It's come a long way and always in the right direction.

I've always wanted an e38. Best 7 imo. How do you like yours, has it been reliable?
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

It's been pretty good no more difficult to maintain over any bmw biggest thing I've done so far is timing chain and guides ... Normal to fail on the m62tu

              I'd rather an E38 than an E39.

              Seriously.

Sick! I agree in regards to these being the "best" 7-series of all time.
I absolutely hate the current gen, and previous gen cars were total piles of shit.

My fave would be a clean silver, m-sport pkg 740i (swb) with the euro rear panel and OEM+ mods.

Such a beautiful, classy, and sporty car.
I still think that I'll be buying myself one in the forementioned specs when I get my first major yob out of school.

I'd rather have an iL personally. Its a big luxury car, why try to make it sporty? I don't try to make my e30 comfy, if I had an e38 it'd be lwb on coils with 18's or 19's, just like the OP's. Yes coils destroy the comfiness of an e38, but fuck if a slammed 7 doesn't look amazing. I love your car OP.

Its all fine and dandy if your windshield never breaks, once it does enjoy the 2k invoice from BMW for that costly piece of hardware. IIRC it has heaters and some sort of E Tint.

That's completely false , your referring to the UV climate windshield and yes they have a defroster it's 500 and change if I recall from local glass shops. Look up a brand new e30 windshield from the dealer I'll bet your jaw will drop lol

sick! my dad owned a 750i brand new back in the late 90's... that car was a spaceship back then... and it still has the same presence it had 15 years ago. there really is no way to make a luxury sedan more sexy. If I didn't already have a company car and other toys taking up too much space I would 100% daily an e38. There's no point in owning a current 7 series... you end up with an inferior car IMO. :D

one thing: this car doesn't need a huge drop and wheels to look perfect. It looked so much better with a conservative drop and the m parallel's!!! also, love those headrests... nice touch!

Nice! The e38s are definitely my favorite 7 series. Also agree that it looked great on the Mpars!

Want another? Buddy selling his 97 740iL pretty cheap. He's trying to get me to buy it for lemons, I'd rather not.
