    89 E30 4door, Scandinavian wildness.

    Hello everyone!

Im a engine crazed Swede and my mate happened to have a e30 4 door which dident pass the annual inspection.

So the car had been sitting for about 6months.
Expectations were; No battery, maybe rusted brake rotors.

Outcome, Car was parked between my friends boss car and a concrete rail.
Car wouldent start so we had to toe it backwards cause the jumper cables wouldent reach :P.

When we got the car out and started up, the front brakes were totally locked. Rears got loosened up quite fast. SO we drove the car back and forth on a semi snowy parking lot in hopes of getting them to loosen up.
Ended up that we had to lift the left front tire, remove the wheel, bash on the brake rotor in hope we would get the worst rust to let go.

Eventually we got the car running on all fours. Drove it home, chirping on the front brakes (guess they werent even straight one bit :P).

Now got the car home in the garage, removed all the interior. Gonna start clear up some rust holes.

    SO THE BORING BIT CLEARED.
Plans for this car is to just go sideways on track... maybe some on the street just for fun.
So first of planing for a M62B44 to put in, -97 nonvanos.
Gearbox; Im not quite 100% sure, Since there basically is no V8 manuals just laying around, Im thinking about any good 5/6speed gearbox and just weld a new bellhouse. Any ideas for any possible good gearboxes id be happy to hear about =).

(Pictures will come, sorry for the text start:hitler:)

Anything with Scandinavia in the title usually ends up being a big time win. Don't make me a liar. Good luck!

Haha, hold your horses fellas. To begin with Im gonna run this car just NA.. If I wont stumble upon a cheap standalone, then the turbo in the garage is gonna pop :P.

        So I found a M62B44 for 600bucks.
Still looking for a suitable gearbox and driveshaft resolution, anyideas or pointers ?
And since there are some rusts on the car and the wheelarches im just gonna brutally cut them up and make some sort of Vorshlag welding.

Thanks! Yeah Ive seen some builds here and also most parts. But V8 Gearboxes are quite hard to comeby... When I could just get a TDS gearbox (handles more torque) Reweld the belhouse. BUT flywheel+clutch configuration is what makes me scarse about custom ordering ($$).

The worst rust operations from inside the car.
