** Tony's First E30 318iS **

Hello peoples.. i recently (well not really) sold my audi a couple months ago... i was a big audi/vw guy... but all my friends have BMW's so i decided to give it a try. i sold my motorcycle and bought Elemenohpee 's E30 318iS (hes on this forum). but anyways he was kind enough to let it go for 3k and i drove it from san luis obisbo all the way back to my home in Oakland. (4 hour drive).
on the way home the oil light came on and it was 1 in the morning so i stopped by a gas station to fill up the oil. then the brake lining light came on WTF but its cool i guess theres something wrong with the light cuz the PO said he replaced the brake sensors. but anyways other than that she ran like a champ and i was satisfied. but anyways i just wanted to share some pics of when i first got her... its been 1 month with her now on this day! 8)

Awh what happened to your lip?

Excellent choice to a first car. And don't worry, if your brake lining light isn't on, then you should be worried ;)

It's a common issue when there isn't anything wrong.
Oil light coming on also means you're 1qt low (assuming it's working properly)

Thanks! My front lip actually came off on the way to the euro meet.. I retraced my steps and found it in my driveway The brake lining light comes and goes... Sometimes when its on i just tap the cluster and the light turns off... Also i remember the oil light coming on and i check the oil but it was full.. But all in all i love the car!

This is the first e30 that ever caught my eye and sparked my interest in them. I've been friends with Neil (PO of this car) for a few years now and remember seeing it for the first time at our local skate park. I was pretty much hooked from that point on. Glad to see this went to another R3V member, hope you take care of it!

UPDATE:

I just got new headlights.. Depo smileys for 200 bucks from ecs and i also bought a zhp shifter knob. I also got a mann air filter and oil filter housing gasket. Omg the zhp shifter knob makes the shift feel so much better.. Cant really explain it but god damnn... Well worth it... But yea i know people hate on the depo smileys but where the hell can you get brand new projectors for 200? Anyways HID kit and M50 swap up next!! Gonna get the motor soon!
