    This is Molly

    Hi R3v,

When I was a kid, seeing my Grandparents on the racetrack and more specifically my Grandfather's silver E30 M3 that he built for the track, I've dreamed of owning one of these cars since. Just the other week I found an E30 in a grass lot next to an auto mechanic shop.. I feel like it was a little overpriced, but after missing so many chances at other E30s I grabbed it for $1k. The guy I bought it from said after I change the fluids and fix the ignition cylinder (half the key is broken off in it) it should run. (I don't expect that to be true.) I'll post pictures to the project forum once I start working on the car, it'll be a little while, my wife says home improvement projects are more important.. Anyways blah blah blah pictures:

Shop Dogs! (well the fat one is.. the wiener is a bit scared of loud noises)

and here's a picture of my photographer:

So yeah... I'm screwed. My to do list is pretty long.

I have no clue. I'm going to have to use them for a while though, there's so many other things I want to do to this before I get to the wheels and tires. Maybe they'll clean up nice...ish.

        HI MOLLY!!

Welcome to R3V! looks like you got quite the project on your hands but she has plenty of potential i can see it now, in no time this awesome black E30 will be jamming down the roads of NM. I think one of the best things to find out first is were is your local junkyard and do they have any E30's, defiantly looks like it wont need to much visually i see it needs a airbox, new battery, fluids, plugs, and what you already mentioned, most everything important is there! unless of course mice or something got hold of the wiring harness but lets not go down that route! Looking forward to watching this progress!

        Cheers!

I don't even want to think what sitting in a field for a year has done to this car..

Welcome, sounds like you've got a handle on things.
Any pics of the track m3? Any chance it's still around?
The wheels look like 3 piece oz fittipaldi's to me..?
            Good Luck!

I don't have too many pictures, and they're crap pictures at that, but this is what I do have:

              Both cars; my Grandmother's M coupe and Grandfather's E30 M3:

(again, sorry for bad quality, this was taken years ago.. right before the M3 was sold)

Good call on the wheels, I don't see the markings that the OZ's have, but these might be knockoffs.
