Deconstruction of the exterior, engine, etc.

Good bye crappy exhaust! You'll be replaced with a better one.

      Transmission out!

Pulling apart and taking out the engine.

We will be replacing the wiring harness with a newer one.

      Engine bay's getting cleaner.

      Engine's coming out!

It's empty! The car is now officially a Fred Flintstone special. LOL.

Leaking and broken steering rack. That'll be replaced.

      An empty interior.

Just an engine sitting on the floor.

The original paint sticker still on the car.

Almost there. Just a few more things left to remove and it's off to the paint shop!

Love how the lowered suspension doesn't look so lowered anymore with everything taken out of the shell.

      More to come soon! :)

Pilipinos truly do know their BMWs. I can't even count how many I know big dawgs I know in the community.
I remember your last project, loved it as well.

One question though - how is it that there are so many North American spec E30's over there?
I remember your last DS, the mt1, also had US bumpers.

          Windows totally off!

The old fenders showed some signs of damage from a previous minor accident so "new" fenders are test fitted and will be used as replacements.

Ready to be sent to the paint shop!

            Off to the paint shop!

Not the typical sight to see an E30 shell on a flatbed on the road.

Thanks! Though this most likely is the same project car. I'm just re-posting it since my original thread was lost on another forum and I've since continued to work and document progress on the car. My other project car was an E30 M3.

Back in the day, it was popular to import cars from the USA since importation from Europe was harder and more expensive.
