The exhaust sits much lower, to the point that it's much lower than the oilpan.

I believe you have to have the Treehouse bushings to make it work.

Check out this auction's dyno plot. It shows a 18 whp gain, what bullshit!

Anyway, thanks for the report permit, some people reported having trouble because the flanges didn't even match up. It sounds like installation isn't too too bad.

Anyway, I don't recall the track guys on bf.c saying too much kind stuff about these headers, except that maybe they'd be decent if real merge collectors were welded in.

Then again, you can sometimes pick up used Supersprint or Genie headers for $400 - 600. But the fit might not be right. S52 headers with welded air injection ports for me!

I would never buy anything that says "Super Power!" in the title.

However, at least those have flanges at the end. As you can see in the above picture, the exhaust shop was far too stupid to add their own. Instead, the entire exhaust is now one piece. I'm going back to them and bitching, no worries.

I'm going to the exhaust shop next week to have a few little custom pipes made, nothing too serious...about how much do you think putting this shit together should cost? Basically I'm asking ballpark what you spent...

I guess I don't really care what it costs, it's the last thing keeping me from driving my car around!!

Originally, for a full exhaust attached to the M50 manifolds was $450.

Then, $300 for the headers, and another $100 to fit them to the current exhaust (cut, new Y-pipe, welds, etc.).

So, $750 if you do all this originally, instead of having to go back and have it all redone.


Before anyone goes out and buys these, I have to again stress the difficulty of getting both of these into place. It's possible, but you won't have fun doing it.
