New to BMW. My first 85 325e.

Bought it two weeks ago from a local auction. One owner.

Engine runs strong. Interior is in great shape. Some cracks on dashboad But that as it

The only bad part is the lower rear. Is really rusted.

Today I took off the bumper and this is what I saw

I got this guy who's gonna cut the piece in both side and weld another one back on. She runs too good to give up on her.

Euro bumpers, manual windows and houndstooth sports? WIN!

Nice pickup OP. That rust isn't that bad. I'm doing a frame off on a '65 Dodge D100 that has holes in every panel (before someone tells me to find something better, it's been in my family 40+ years). For some reason, I've always thought white looked great with euros.

Not trying to threadjack, just being motivational. Too many fixable shells get scrapped here.

oh man... are you sure there isn't more rust in more critical areas? What about under the car?

              i love those seats...

Did not have to take the bumper off to see that, good luck man.

Nice find. It has the special, environmental weight reduction plan, rust.

seeing that only leads me to believe the floorboards are rusted out, along with possibly under the doors and/ or under the car. Look for more rust spots before you put money into it! I like that interior though!

Looks like its an actual import? KM/L efficiency gauge, euro bumps, federalized lame side markers, etc? Weld in some new panels and keep it man!

Thank you guys. I am keeping the car. I work at a auto body supplies shop. And I know a ton of people that do restoration. I check under the car and there's not rust. I'm guessing all that bad rust is for not having a rubber seal in the trunk
