I think you need some better search skills. Its hard to find crappy tires in a 45 sidewall, but good tires commonly have it.

I need tires that arent expensive, This is my 3rd set since November, I cant justify spending 200+ a tire I can easily get a decent grip 17" tire setup for under $150each in 17 rim size, also my wrx uses 17" rims so I can share tires if needed. This is the most affordable way to go on my tire slaying adventures.(plus 16's look small with flares)
That makes sense. I have a set of your flares with 16x8s wrapped in a 215/50. I want wider tires but no one makes a good 225+ with a 45 or less sidewall.

I debated going to 17's but they just look so big on E30's

Also, where did you get the rear diffuser?

I made around $200 in profit after selling wheels and adapters. so it was a huge factor in the change, also they are just wheels and very easy to get another set when a nicer set pops up. I plan to change wheels as often as I change tires.

The only thing I would change is the side skirts — get some IS skirts or something man! I hate to be that guy, but a car this nice deserves better

They ride great, really smooth compared to other tire I've run, pretty comfortable on the freeway with really nice grip.

actually any wider than 8.5" up front and you run into u-turn issues. I need a square setup for tire rotating.
also the tread width is massive

here is how I would rate my last 3 sets when compared to each other

    Potenza re070
    size-225/45/17
Comfort-4/10-harsh,noisy, tracks around on the freeway constantly.
    Corner Grip-9/10
    Straight grip-9/10
    Falken rt615
    size-235/40/17
Comfort-7/10-smooth, not too firm, no wandering
    Corner Grip-8/10
Straight grip-2/10-they are like grease in a straight line
    BGF sport comp 2
    size-245/40/17
    Comfort-8/10-Smooth, now wandering, absorbs bumps.
    Corner Grip-8.5/10
    Straight grip-8/10

Out of curiosity, why do you have to run 17's?

Because of the terrible selection of tires in any other size.
