How low is the hoop bar compared to the steering rack? I couldn't agree more, I wanted to do it once so I had to do it right.

It's long enought to protect the rack but the tie-rods are exposed

That's not a problem unless you plan on plowing over mini-boulders

The hoop bar gives sufficient deflection of larger objects away from the rack on top of the excellent construction of the skid plate

Im more worried about clearance issues. Im running shorted ground controls and even at the highest setting I'm still pretty low.

you and me both. I scape on speed bumps. Today I'm going to figure out where on the skid I'm scraping. I don't want to scrap the rack bolts off.

You're running Red46's plate right? Hows it holding up?
I wanted something a lil more heavy duty

Im just concerned about that damn hoop bar! (not my car btw)

It seems to be going well. I've been driving on it for about a week. I need to lift the car up and see what's been going on down there to verify I'm not scraping too hard.

              How thick is that plate?

                              Thanks guys

Valance is just something I'm playing around with. Going to try to get an intact one and work on better fitment.

on another note, picked up some Mercedes 123 fog lights today
