After many years, i'm finally back in the seat of an e30!
i sold my 96 dakar yellow m3 in order to get back into my first love, an e30. Back in 2004, my first car was a 1988 325iS, a rusted out, loud, low, awesome car that i loved dearly. some you r3v old timers may remember from way back when!
with the market getting crazy expensive, i knew id have to find a good solid base. my buddy matt in NJ (where im originally from) is a master tech at bmw and has some sweet cars including a fully restored e28 m5. He built this e30, and didnt even want to sell it, in fact it wasnt even listed for sale. we got to talking and i bought the car this past weekend when i was in NJ for a wedding.
The car:
1987 325eS, schwarz with houndstooth interior. Front seats are recaro orthopeds with the drive being power, heated, with power inflated airbags inside the seat with releases of 3 different chambers for the perfect fit. Crack free dash, mtech 1 steering wheel, alpina tach, lighted m shift knob. Motor was swapped for an M30B35 out of an e34, 5 speed with e28 m5 clutch and flywheel, and the car still retains A/C (most m30 swaps do NOT). All poly bushings and lots of other stuff overhauled. lowered currently on h&r springs, nothing special. Rust free, pretty good paint.
Plans:
E30 m3 5 lug (have everything but shocks/camber plates)
Ground Control coilovers
style 68s
mtech 1 kit
euro bumpers
iS sideskirts
possible 745i turbo install
and it pulls like a fucking freight train. its not the fastest car, but not far off from my m3.

gonna look quite different hopefully soon! thanks for looking.
