    Newbie Here

    Hey all,

I just joined the group and the wonderful world of the e30. I have always wanted one but never found one in my price range and clean. Well, This past Tuesday was my lucky day!

I am into strange cars that most wouldn't consider. So when this popped up on craigslist I had to jump!

It's a 1984 318i TC Baur. This is a 3 owner car with 129k miles. Everything is original nothing molested except some crappy CD player.

Here's some pics from the night I brought it home:

    Plans:

Simple Bilstein Sports, H&R Race, new bushings throughout, motor mounts, 15" Euroweaves and a good cleaning ;)

Love the car and looking forward to learning from you all!

Sweet. An actual Baur (looks like mint condition) that runs and drives. If you don't mind, how much did it cost you? What else is in your "strange" collection?

        Thanks! My humble little collection:

Wife: 2003 VW Eurovan GLS (bought new in 2003)
Wife: 2009 Nissan Pathfinder (something reliable was needed)
Oldest Son: 1986 VW Scirocco (tastefully modded)
        Middle Son: 1988 Mercedes W201 190e 2.3 8v (Bagged)

My Toy 1: 2001 Audi TT 225 QC (fully done showcar)
My Toy 2: 2004 Porsche 911 40th Anniversary edition (#1277, Coils, Kinesis, exhaust)
My Daily: 1997 Nissan Hardbody (dropped, etc mini truck style)

Which leaves me with the Toy #3, e30. After building/fixing/modifying my sons' cars it made me miss cars from the 80s. Which is why I started looking for an e30. Like I posted nothing crazy on this one. I want to be able to cruise around town, autocross occasionally. I think I got it for a deal. I paid $3k

I would want sport seats and euro bumpers, then it will be perfect.

I want to see pics of all your cars please :)

Nice Baur btw! I was unaware they came with diving boards. I think it looks pretty good. A drop and euroweaves or redrilled e38 style fives would look great.

Thanks!! Maybe I should rephrase what I mean by strange, more like not desireable!! A lancia or Maserati is way out of my league!!

All of your cars are sick. I have to say that TT is pretty slick. I usually think they are ugly and lame as hell.
