While I might not agree with Scott's direction for the car, I am glad it has a good home.

The reality is, Scott really did not get "my" car - a lot was stripped off of it by agreement as part of our deal.

The interior was not "trashed" - but it needed love. The front seats needed seam repairs, the rear, well - it needed a little more - but it was an average vert seat for an '87.

Truth be told, I only ever posted pics that attempted to show it at its best. But NEVER did I photoshop a one of them. I would not have known how to!!

Certain things I scratch my head at - the trim WAS on solidly for me - but it seemed to fall off after Scotty got it. Hmm.

Scott - take good care of it. Glad you saved it from being parted out as was my original plan.

I think that clears things up a bit - people may have assumed that I chose to take the is lip, the smilies, or other parts off, when in fact it was part of the arrangement.

Trashed was a bit harsh - but like you said, you only posted pics that showed it at its best - and its interior wasn't one of it's strong points - nor the driver's door ;)

No idea why the trim kept falling off, but I got new trim from Rob, sanded and painted it flat black, and installed new plastic clips - fits like glue now.

Once I get the paint, body and wheels done - along with the modifications to the front seats - this car should be sitting pretty.

if you love it, then that's what's important.

        kudos to your progress.

i like the color choice, and i hope to see pics when everything gets tightened up!

makes me want to get rid of my sport seats for e21 recaros, but i'm afraid i'm too big a guy for them!

thanks guys :) Rob and I are arranging a weekend in a few weeks to go over the whole thing - redye the rear lower section, and make the necessary modifications to the fronts. I'm also adding stock heated seat elements and wiring to them while we're in there
