Heat transfer, which might be a little important with a high-mount turbo, could also be considered important. Most people don't realise that a well-built aluminium bonnet is as light as a carbon fibre one, the downside being it bends easily and doesn't have the same thermal efficiency as Black Weave...

Mariano, would it help if I also mentioned that CF is good if you accidentally (or deliberately, I don't know if people on here have an agenda) hit a manatee?

You just smear your bonnet (hood) with shit and mayonnaise and in case you hit the offending marine animal, it will only slide off, instead of breaking your car and making you move interstate.
