    I guess its my turn.

Well, just got the car up and running/CLEAN since its been sitting in the garage for the last 3 weeks, making the damn engine run. Anyway, Megasquirt now works, but needs to be tuned, I have all the intercooler tubing done/not ghetto-rigged.

Here is a list of mods.

    2.8l Turbo Engine:
    TD crankshaft
    Bored to 85mm
Ross Racing 85mm low compression (8.5:1) pistons
    High strenght wrist pins
    All new bearings/bushings
    All new gaskets
    32lb/hr Accel injectors
    IE adjustable fuel pressure regulator
    Garrett T04B turbo (turbine a/r=.60, compressor a/r=.50)
    Turbonetics 35mm deltagate wastegate
    Blitz dual drive blow-off valve
Modified Starion intercooler with 2.5" tubes (core dimensions are 16.5x8x2.75)
    Custom 2.5" intercooler tubing
Proturbo exhaust manifold adapter with custom wastegate adapter
    2.5" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
    MSD 6-BTM ignition system
    Megasquirt standalone fuel computer
A/F ratio, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and boost gauges.
    Custom manual boost controller
Current compression is about 8.0-8.2:1 with thicker head gasket

    Exterior:
    Kopi Alpina wheels (17x7.5)
H&R Cup Kit suspension (with thicker rear spring pads)
    Dual front lips
Cut front valence for intercooler flow

    Future:
Replica Mtech 2 rear spoiler (have in garage)
Infinity front spoiler + custom splitter (maybe CF, with verticle supports)
Ground Control Coilovers with high springrates
    Sideskirts (Breyton or BMP)
    Rear skirt (Breyton or BMP)
    Head studs
    Racing seats/harnesses
    Rollbar (possibly)

I think thats about it, if I think of anything else, i'll post. This engine has been 1 year exactly in the works, and now getting finished.. I will have it dynotuned in the next week, and will post results.

    So pics, here we go.

    Peace,

Whoa, that ain't no Sparco bar - is it an IE bar? It looks like it has a better chance of fitting my car...

Oh yeah,. Although I'd have to say leave your body stock - it's the best look for a late model IMO.

..Nice to see all your hardwork has paid off.

      A few ques:
How come you didn't do the headstud conversion when you had the head off?
What's the other thingymajig next to your MSDS ignition component?
Is your TB modified? It looks a lil different at the part where the cooling lines "would" be..
What's your Goal..street monster, track car or 0-60 car? Stiff springs will hurt your 0-60 as they supress traction ;)

Nice job though  ...try add MHW smoked lights in the rear and you're a-ok 100%

      Waiting for new dyno sheet...

If i saw that intercooler in my rear veiw mirror I would cream my pants as you drove by. I dont think the body needs and modification of any sorts either, it looks great as it is. Also what kind of muffler is on there, those pipes are frigging huge.

          It's beautiful, simply beautiful...

The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the exhaust tips, a little too large for my taste, but it still fits the car.

          Very nice work!!!

                Thanks guys

Bill - Its a painted IE strut bar.

e9nine - I didnt know where to get head studs back then, I should have however. The thing next to the MSD is the relay board for the megasquirt fuel management, it has 4 fuses, and 3 relays, it is where all of hte sensor wires plug into as well, from there, there is a 37pin connector/coord that goes into the car into the megasquirt computer. I dont have the coolant lines running through the TB anymore, I need the LEAST heat going through the TB, and I will suffer a bad cold idle.
Where the ICV used to be is a Intake Air Temp Sensor, and on top of the intake manifold next to the throttlebody is a new WOT switch (actually 2 limit switches), because Megasquirt needed a real variable resistance throttle position sensor. I need the WOT switch for the ignition system to advance the timing.

Not sure exactly I want this car to be, probably street/track car, i dotn really care about straightline acceleration (0-60).

I bought the exhaust from my friend for cheap, so it works for now, it is very loud, so I might change it out later.

Amir - I cant wiat until your car is done either! HURRY! :D

                Thansk for the compliments.

                      Matt it's about time! :o

I would not plan on adding anything until it's all running properly! Who knows what the dyno will find!

Did you upgrade the clutch? I bet it will not last long after you get it tuned!

How much horsepower are you estimating after everything is fully tuned. Your engine bay is awesome. I dig the 328i badging!
