    A small weekend/trackday project - BMW e30 318i

After some time hanging around a enjoying your cars I decided to share mine.

The car that was bought 50/50 with a good friend of mine for weekend cruises and all the trackday that we can afford eheheh

It's a 4 door, m40 engine, solid front disk and drum rear brakes, steelies wheels, no power steering, etc with 200k km's. Not the best fun car but for the €€'s spent we couldn't get anything better.

    Here's the mods:

    - H&R springs
    - BBS RA's big lip 15" with 205/60
    - IS front spoiler
    - IS rear trunk lip
    - Quickshift intake with carbon box
    - SS DTM style tips (2x76mm)
    - M-Technik II steering wheel
    - newer model headlamps
    - clear front signal light ( blinker?)

    To do list:

    - vented front brakes and rear disk brakes (waiting to be mounted)
    - 2.5 m20 engine swap ( from 1.8 M40 with 115bhp to 170bhp :) on it's way from Germany ...)
    - decent seats/buckets and new suspension
    etc etc

sweeet. love the track shots. looks like a nice project car. i've always been a believer in the 4door track car, due to the increased chassis stiffness...

Great looking sedan, love the action shots (nice to see it being "driven") and the wheels are sechs.

            Thanks for the comments ;)

The 4 doors was not a real choice, more of an opportunity to buy a good condition car at a very nice price, but we grew to love it.

I don't recall the ET on the wheels but will look for it. They sit just face the fender.

You guys won't believe this, but these 4 BBS RA's 15" with tires cost us 100€ ( the shipping from Germany to Portugal cost us the same LOL but we couldn't find them here)

Here's a few other photos (mostly are from my buddie driving and me taking them LOL)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...060312/TD5.jpg -> here it's noticeable the lack of suspension ( the springs alone don't do enough lol)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ezembro001.jpg -> ( 1st in line to enter the track eheheh)

LOL It looks as if you guys really flog that thing. I like it, and yes, the wheels are sechz.

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

Looks pimp. Good to see an E30 getting the wheels driven off it.

looks fun, sorry bout the M40 though. is the cam flat yet? ticking like crazy?
otherwise, a cool ass project. You guys must have really been trying to get smoke to come off the rear tires with that motor. Putting the 2.5 in is the best thing you can do for that car. Here in germnay, I have done the same thing with all of my last 5 E30s. buy a M10, or m40 powered car, and do the swap. It is crazy how much stiffer the small engined cars feel.
