    My 1990 IX

I've been debating on doing this, but it's a Sunday I'm bored. Ive done absolutely nothing special, just want to have a good clean daily. I've had the car for about 4 months now. I bought it with 251,000 miles on it, new clutch, timing belt and lowered on the typical IX H/R bilstein combo from PO. The night I got it, giving it a wash. Click image for larger version

I wanted a different look so I ordered some yellow film from laminx as I am a student with almost no money and frenchies were a bit out of reach Click image for larger version

It had no lip when I got it so I picked up a volvo lip Click image for larger version

Also plastidipped my turn signals with a light coat, they still blink and light up orange, which I thought was neat Click image for larger version

When your first mods include volvo, laminex, and plastidip; makes me nervous where else you're going. Simple is always best. Good luck with the car.

I know they're cheap tacky little mods, but as a student with no job playing two sports it's hard to get what I want. My dad owned a Zinno E30 M3 when I was younger...a lot younger. So he understands cars and what's it's like to work on it by yourself so he's not funding it at all. These are short term mods. My inspiration is the silver ix with the license plate snwmble or something like that. Know he's on R3V just can't remember his username. - sorry for the ratchet posting I guess lol

No ratchet job at all, everything can be reversed in minutes. If you have no money, then don't spend what little you have on "cheap, tacky little mods", save up for more important things.

Thanks for the advice, and yeah I had that in mind when I did them. Saving up for some nice wheels by mowing every lawn in sight lol

Get mowing then. I wouldn't think wheels either though. At 250k+, I would think brakes, fluids, bushings...

Flip that lip upright and It will look way better. Another option for yellow high beam is Merecedes 300d fog lamp. The glass is yellow and look better than a piece of tint on top.
Bought parts from me before? leave your feedback here
