But if you got maced, get a lawyer (or free consultation). The event organizers (and possibly sponsors) are responsible for security.

If this was enforced by the city (you must hire our police officers to have this event) then you can figure out if it's worth going after the city or attempt to hold event promoters responsible.

I have no desire to take any money from the wonderful event that is bimmerfest, although I agree event security is the responsibility of the organizers law enforcement officers are public servants that should be held accountable for their own actions, there was nobody from bimmerfest or a ranking officer telling the office to pepper spray the crowd, that was the officers own poor decision. I have suggested to Bimmerfest organizers to get competent private security to cover the event as it is private not public property and there is no need to have all of the local officers Inside of the event

I attended Gfest a few times and never found this BS at any of the events, BF is a joke and meant for the newer models that parents buy for their sideways hat wearing shitbag kids.

hmm a lot of the things you guys are saying are true

That said, I managed to have fun the last couple years because I met with a bunch of friends I really don't get to see otherwise. We had our own tents, food, blah. There were a lot of nice cars and we stayed away from the stupid drunken douchery to the point where I didn't even know it took place.

Guess I need to get out more often
