I'll probably just block them off instead honestly. I'm still trying to decide. These are replaced lenses on there currently, they look extra crusty because of the extra crusty salt packed on them. They aren't in bad shape.

Some more little stuff.
I got this 5 series bumper gasket. Thank you @downforce for showing this. It's a nice little mod that makes the car feel more complete.
I also hooked up these "city lights" in my front blinkers. Basically it's a reposition of the side lights behind the reflectors.
I still need to get a connector for the actual blinkers though, so still driving around without those... [emoji53]
Until then, I'm waiting for some trim and then I'll paint it in the spring.

I noticed my throttle slightly binding or getting caught or something and so I looked into to see if I was maybe missing something. Turns out there is a little dowel that I was indeed missing. So I ordered that bitch of fleaBay and all seems smooth.
I still don't know how that piece went missing... [emoji848]

I put the blinkers in the bumper to make sure it all lined up. Also set the trim to see how that's going to work. You can see all the tasty salt that colors my car grey. It's always nice to see... [emoji19]

The stock ix bushing is maybe 10mm offset. I'm sure that's to compensate for the increase to the subframe and match up the geometry. So if I were to lower the car, that would shift that geometry and I suppose more with different bushings on the subframe.If you lower the car I would switch to a RWD bushing. it's good for about 1/2 degree of camber. I have a centered bushing IIRC, with the Z3M diff cover, but I think the ix bushing is centered too. Instead, I spaced down my diff a bit with some washers, but that's probably not really necessary.
So I guess the conclusion is regular RWD rear subframe bushings are completely fine assuming you'd be lowering the car anyway, right? I honestly think it affects the angle of the rear diff most of all.

I'll be doing suspension before I go down the route of new wheels. A good segway to my question though... when it comes to rear subframe bushing, i've read that if i lower the car i don't need to worry about the subframe differences. Is this true? what rear subframe bushing do you have in there? Is your rear differential still offset?Leave a comment:

I would go with ix weaves if you can find them. Euroweaves just rub too much. I use a 15mm spacer with mine (mostly just to clear my wheel studs), and it's pretty nice.Leave a comment:
