Pay day so ordered a new hood liner from an eBay seller which looks quite good.

    Anyone used these before?

Fitted hood insulation, works a treat.

Also recoated the lining of the wheel wells with sound deadener. Thick bitumen based coating that you paint on.

Set of original tail lights arrived last week. I just got around to fitting them and think they look great compared to the ones I picked the car up with.

One of them is missing the back plate which holds the bulbs so got to find one. If anyone in Aus has one around let me know!

              Back to original!

Put the headlights in and wired the HID's correctly so that they are waterproof and the ballasts are hidden. Temporarily have a mix of Bosch and Hella headlights, will get a replacement for the Hella so they match.

Left is also slightly blue as it is a different bulb so will get a matching pair without the blue tinge.

Had to convince the dog to stay away while soldering with a new toy.

Cleaning 27 years of dirt and grime from under all the seals. Removed, cleaned and put back in place.

Also tidied up the wires on the trunk and added a grommet.

Euro day at lakeside was a good chance to have a run in the e30 since everything is back together. Car held up great and no issues but definitely see the value of getting a quicker steering rack put in.

Out with the old...in with the new. I had a pretty gunked up set but still surprised that I could notice the difference. Feels back to normal

Had a wobbly old fuel gauge so went looking for the culprit.

Nut holding the fuel gauge onto the cluster was loose.

Added some new solder to help it sit better and tightened it all back up.

Doesn't wobble anymore but one of the fuel senders is buggered so that's next on the todo list

Replaced the brake vacuum hose to the booster, seen better days.
