everything i have read about turboing the M20B20 says that its a waste of money and your better off upgrading to an M20B25 and working with that instead. but im relatively new to this so maybe there is Turbo M20B20's out there that i haven't found ?

Hanging out with the Daily driver

New emblems for the hood and trunk

Put my MorningWood(E-bay) steering wheel on the car

Sanded and prepared the bumper to paint black so i can finish up that front end but didn't get to paint due to weather not co-operating

I have an ireland engineering cat back to go on the car and a replacement Cat on order just waiting for that to arrive and it will be back on the road.

Finally got the bumper put on and the Exhaust mounted. Got to take it out for a drive this weekend and had a blast.

Great work - it's cleaning up really nicely.

The late 320i is the bargain of the e30s at the moment considering they have 325i brakes and suspension, and Motronic 1.3 - just with a 2.0L engine.

They are surprisingly satisfying to drive with the 2.0L auto - very smooth, even if a bit slow - and engine swaps are easy on them as they have the same wiring as a 325i.

I daily drove mine for 3 years before swapping (and had similar wheels to you too before fitting RG Alpina reps)

Thanks! I was pretty pleased with the little 2.0 its a bit slow but very smooth and enjoyable to drive. Its still fun in the corners and works really well. I'm pretty lucky the motor has low KMs and was well maintained before i got the car. I still think a swap will happen down the line but for now since it works well im going to pay attention to the brakes, suspension and bushings and start replacing those so the car is solid when i do decide its time for more power.

For sure. I approached mine the same way - during my first 3 years of ownership, I did all brakes, suspension (Eibachs and Bilstein sports for me), and bushings and just drove the car around.

When I swapped the engine, sold off the 2.0L M20 to another 320i owner as my engine had low kms and was running fine - I picked up my M30 for a song, so actually profited on the M20 :)

it might take me a bit to find an M30 around here so ill have some time to enjoy the 2.0 til that happens

Haven't posted in a while so a quick update.

Installed a suspensions refresh from ecs tuning and new sway bar bushings and boots for the steering rack. Replaced the blower motor and resistor. The only thing not currently working on the car is power mirrors and I haven't looked into fixing them yet. Picked up a set of bottle caps one of my borbets was a little bent.
