New member from Spain! 2 e30s inside

Hi, I've been reading this forum for years, specially the m20 space, but regarding my last buy, I decided to register an participate. I must beg your pardon if I make any grammar mistake but I'm not good at English!

My name is Antonio, I'm 27 years old. I bought my first e30 when I was 19 (an 318is 2p) then changed it for an euro M3 e36 '93 and finally sold it after two years because of the low mpg (fuel price here is very expensive) and high insurance costs due to my age.

I thought I was done with e30s but I ended up buying a 323i, first registered in germany in 1985 and then brought to Spain in 1989.

The car was in very bad condition, and the equipment was... non existent!, just a manually operated sunroof

It's been a year since I bought it and the car looks totally different.
I retrofitted a lot of things, here's the list:

    -'91 m20b25 engine
-Full Mtechnik 1 pack from a '86 325i (spoilers, suspension and stabilizers)
    -Woodline steering wheel
-Central mirror with map reading light
    -Cloth sport heated seats
    -Boardcomputer II
    -BBS 15" ET24 wheels
    -Powered windows
-Central locking system with remote lock
    -Air conditioning
    -Control Cruise
    -5 speed dogleg gearbox
    -S3.15 25% LSD

This picture shows how was the car at first

    And these others are actual

Now I'll tell you about the other.

After some months looking for a good 318i cabriolet, and finally having found one, I was hesitating because euro 318i have M40 engine which has some problems with the camshaft. I then had another look at another web page and found a 318i cabriolet from the US, with M42 engine. It's a very rare car in europe (I only know about one more here in my country).

The car isn't in it's best years, but with some work and a full respray (and new wheels and lower suspension), I think it will look as good as his engine is (only 71.000 miles on the odometer)

    The equipment list is:
    -ABS
    -Air Conditioning
    -Ext temperature clock
    -Central locking
    -Power steering

    Here are some photos

I have some questions about the car that you may know because there are some options and things that were different between US and Euro versions

I haven't seen before that kind of clothing interior, ¿is it OEM? I like it but the rear seat needs repairing and I don't think I'll be able to find that cloth design

how difficult is to find the front bumper trims with the holes for the orange side lights? the car is missing the front ones.

I hope you don't get bored reading all this!

    See you!
