These will hold small rocks and different particles. Get yourself a dozen microfiber towels instead.

Not literal "sponges". Most of the time I use a microfiber glove type thing.

Just wanted to add that I've owned this car for almost three years so yes all the m42 maintenance has been done! Getting to the point now for some subtle mods. Besides wanting a swap, I want to do h&r springs and BBS rs. Gold with chrome lip.

Think about it... people bring there jeeps and trucks caked in dirt to those kinds of car washes. They'll set the brush on the ground, which can easily pick up new tiny rocks and so forth. Then you use it on your car, and put swirls and scratches literally everywhere. Even if you could wash out the brush before you use, I'm willing to bet it would still cause scratches.

The best bet is to bring your own bucket with soap and a wash mitt, so long as you can fill it with water there.
