All set, I wouldn't be getting anything done if not for that canopy. Its actually quite nice.

Service position, which is why I do not agree with those who say these are hard to work on cars.

Took me a little longer than expected, but I haven't pulled one of these before. Took about 5 hours.

Taking a break now, going to eat and relax in the A/C for a bit. I'm planning on installing all the parts onto the engine this afternoon, and reinstall tomorrow morning. May start putting it back together tonight, will have to see how I feel.

Are you doing this by yourself?

Ready. Set... Will update lots of photos tonight.

Intercooler and exhaust are being delivered today. Having breakfast with the family before they head to the in-laws for the weekend. Then it's on.

I know I've been posting allot of text and not enough photos, but I also ordered the JHM fmic. Against my better judgment to wait for side mounts.

I'll just have to take my time setting it up, they can be done right.

So the build will now be dual 2.5" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, 55lb injectors, 50/50 WM injection with dual #4 injectors, f21 turbos. No holding back anymore! Going to see what this thing is capable of.

I plan on taking it to a track at least once before the season is over. Not worried about dyno numbers, but I'd love to pull off some 11 second passes.

SSAC Twin 2 exhaust ordered, and I'm seriously considering ordering the FMIC now. Thinking just knock everything out at once and enjoy 450awhp. If I keep the stock intercoolers the meth will help keep things cool, but I'll be limited to 20psi, and around 400awhp. But since I've come this far I'm kind of getting greedy.

Time to throw some ammo up on armslist, and sell a few other toys.

Anyone want a mamba monster fully build E-maxx? Only part left to upgrade are the axles.

Also sent and E-mail to SSAC about their twin 2 cat back. Hopefully the guy with the APR comes through though.

And in other news, we went and looked at our future home last weekend! A coworker is retiring next year, so we are planning on buying their home. 3 BR 2FB on 2.5 acres, and the best part? 4 car garage with a ceiling high enough for a lift and separate workshop area. It's more like a detached shop than garage. Wish I had taken photo's.

That picture is what dreams are made of. Lol

Congrats on the house man! Sounds like my kind of place. Definitely take some pics of it next time you go out there and throw it up somewhere on here.

Very excited to see what comes of this thing. Hard thinkin on getting one myself

Once I have the intercooler and exhaust sorted 430-450awhp wouldn't be unheard of. Probably 5-550 crank.

The real beauty of the k04 frame turbos is the power curve. Torque comes on early and very strong, then as it drops horsepower picked up the slack out to red line. They will pull anywhere in the rpm range.

Once we're in a house I'll throw rods I'm and rs6 snails. They are usually good for 550 AWHP.

How much would this be at the crank and wheels again?

I'm right at about 2k. A little over because I had to replace my methanol pump and I decided to relocate to the trunk. Other than that I've been buying from the Audizine classifieds as much as I can.

Only new parts from a shop were the mounts, turbo install kit. Everything has been second hand. Got the turbos used for a steal, and managed to get the lwfw and unused clutch for $600 as a package. Rs4 inlet pipes came in at a whopping $50, and paid $200 for the injectors.

So you figure another 5-800 for exhaust and intercooler and I'll be complete. Might be getting an APR cat-back off a guy who is moving from NC to PA, if all goes well he will be dropping it off on his way to PA.

Curious how much you spent so far getting it to stage 3. Should be good.

    Super stoked man.

Shed is moved, much much better. I have about 18 feet of asphalt to work with. Won't be able to back it in like the Miata is and still service (The Audi JUST fits on the lot). It will be a nice place to park the Audi out of sight from the road though when we are on vacation.

So, I'll park the Audi so that the front wheels and drivetrain areas are on the asphalt. Should leave me enough room between the car and shed to yank everything out.

Trading the Miata for a truck and hoist for the weekend. Picking it up on Thursday night (next week), then its busting ass Friday and Saturday. Would like to have it done in 2 days.

My vote it FMIC too. Although some nice SMICs would be good, plus that OEM sleeper look.

That's the problem... I could go either way.

If it gets a front mount it will have powder coated black pipes hidden behind the stock grilles. Semi-sleeper if you will.

    Like this, except black pipes.

Only downside is no fogs, but mine leak and burn bulbs so I don't use them anyway.

That kit runs around $550, and they did pull off a 12.2 second pass on k03s, and almost hit 10s on k04's with it. So it definitely performs.

Other option would be SRM side mounts which are a bit priceyer, but will retain that 100% sleeper appearance.

I'm leaning more towards the FMIC, just looking to get other opinions.

Found one that looks pretty damn good.
