        I'm trying to do the math on my fingers and toes in thousands and I think I ran out. You've gotta be at $20K+.

          I'm hovering around 25,000 at the moment.

          I'll easily hit $40,000 once the S38 is complete.

            haha are you guys serious?

            just ordered new rotors and pads all around, also SS lines too
            3 weeks and they are here i guess

            all i need now is the springs.

            so how much do you figure i could get either a rebuild kit or an 'i' motor for?

            and which do you think is better?

                    Yep they are.

                    I've seen $150-200. But you could get lucky and get them cheaper.

If anything, you could buy a lower mileage chassis and swap everything over as mentioned before, or do a motor swap on your car, but you've got a keeper there I think.
                          And what is wrong with a ETA with a lot of Miles? that 280000 is in kilometers not miles. My Super ETA has 330,000 kms and still hauls ass.

                          Keep the car fix it up. Keep the engine just polish it up (full detail $300 cdn. Port & polish, balance pistons $500.00. Good vaccum and detail interior $100.00) and then add a turbo ($2000.00 see [gonna hear it for this] www.e30tech.com for details on the turbo setup) to increase the HP then you will kick a 325is in any race. Then you can use the rest of the coin on what ever you want(parts car???). Eta's are the best to turbo because they already have a natural low compression ratio, with the larger displacement you should be able to get 230-250 HP range with the right setup. How many people in Alberta are going to have a car like that?

                            depends on what kind of deal you got on it. The m-tech goodies, and the houndstooth can make you some cash on the boards and ebay. Maybe enough to recoop the original purchase. Then buy an IS plastic bumpered car with no rust and enjoy.

                            Then again I have a police auction 85 eta, that I have a couple thousand dollars worth of parts sitting in a room, and a crazy plan to restore every part in it over the next couple years. But then again I like to throw away money. Ask my girlfriend.

                              if I were you, and its tough to find those;

                              m tech I is hoooottttt. same for euro houndstooth, i have it in my wagon

                              do your suspension, and spend the rest of the money on an m50 swap (e36 325 motor). you'll be in love with the car
