1991 Calypso Coupe

OK I got the car home today... So it's safe to talk about it now that I have the title and keys in hand. I saw the ad on CL and was curious. Turns out the car was purchased originally by the father of the girl I bought it from. One family car is always a plus. It's in good shape overall but the AC needs to be recharged, and they think it needs front brakes (although I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary). The body is mostly straight. There is only one small patch of rust on the rear valence. I plan to send it out out and get that area cut and properly welded/painted.

Now that I've had a good look at it...

The engine bay had quite a bit of grime/oil. It looks like the oil filler cap has been cracked for some time now. I think I have a spare in the basement thankfully. The rust hole really doesn't look bad and should be affordable to fix. The motor hums (I mean no usual seeing machine noise).

Intake elbow boot
Oil cap
Repair rust on valence
Oil/filter
Wiper blades
Transmission filter/fluid
Timing belt/water pump/tensioner
Fan and fan clutch
All accessory belts
Crankshaft position sensor (I'm already in there...)
Radiator hoses
Air filter
New spark plugs
New distributor rotor and cap

Gahhh this car is beautiful!!! I have a secret deep down want for my car to be back to stock and fresh like when I got it. Please do great things with this car!

An unplanned purchase... I found two very nice comfort seats and a set of Basketweaves with caps.


This ones going all stock. The set in the car is near perfect as well... So if anybody is looking for a set of tan comfort seats, let me know.
