this is one of the first times i've put up pictures of it. Don't hate too much.
bought the car 2 1/5 years ago for 800 bucks. everything on the car was blown. suspension, motor, wheel bearings, tires, interior sucked, and it leaked anything and everything. got hooked up with an m52 from a friend for a few hundred and did the whole swap myself my garage. the only thing a shop did was my exhaust. so for a whole summer i kicked my dad out of the garage and worked on it for a few months.
once the swap was done i was able to drive it around but it wasn't too good. the tune was fucked up and it could only be driven lightly. which wasn't too bad because i never intended it to be a full blown race car anyways. so come spring time the one time i left it out in front of my house some fuckers came and stole it. i got it back a week later but it was absolutely trashed. cigarettes put out in the center console, knives taken to the seats, off roaded the car, put a huge dent in the driver rear corner, and left the windows down so when i rained for 3 days at the impound lot it got completely soaked.
so starting back from square one and making sure the engine wasn't blown i replaced the transmission with another g260, ripped out the interior completely and laid new carpet, got some sport seats, new center console, found some bmw floor mats out of an x5 that i may or may not have jacked from my old job, and built some suspension for it. not exactly ground controls but pretty close replicas that ironfreak helped me make (or should i say he made while i watched). ground control springs, koni struts, ebay coil adjusters in the front and ireland engineering adjusters in the back, and german manufactured camber plates that i can't for the life of me remember the name. and had to get the exhaust re done after they smashed it off roading it and put in a 2.5 catless exhaust on.
all said and done it still didn't drive quite right. so the OG squidmaster sssquid came through and that son of a bitch did wonders. amazing guy that made the impossible possible. drives tons better than it used to. so that's the story of my E30.
it's got a nasty spot of cancer right on the passenger door but that's the only spot of rust. except for where the paint came off where they smashed my rear end when they stole it.
