    New guy + cars

Hi, my name is Duane and I'm from Dallas. Mostly new to the forum (made a couple posts but mainly been lurking). I've got a couple of E30s and a some other Bimmers:

My daily, a 1991 318is with some light mods.
    • Z3 M short shift kit
    • E36 M3 bushings
    • HR OEM springs
    • 16" ESM wheels
    • drilled rotors
    • Mark D chip
    • xenons
    • cat back exhaust
    • stereo stuff
    • And the painted trim. :???:

Bought it from a r3v member (don't know his username) which is what got me on here. Maybe you've seen it before?

It's a pristine car with just 73K. I didn't mean to buy it, but it was too cherry to pass up.

Just changed the kidneys back to chrome (they were black) not sure if I like it or not. Gonna start changing trim to black soon.

I also have a totally stock 1990 325is which I've had for a little while. I was going to mod this until I found the 318is. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it now, but it's begging to be turned into a track day car.

This is my previous daily driver which I've had about 5 years, a 1995 e36 318iC. It's super-clean, more so than my 1991 318is, but it's heavy and an auto so it's kind of a pig. I'm selling it to my father in law soon.

My wife has a 2007 E90 330i. It's our still-under-warranty "reliable" car which we need since our other cars are old. Here's a pic from a couple weeks ago showing just how reliable it is.

She's now on the hunt for a nice E30 convertible.

So anyways, uh ... "hi" and stuff.

Welcome! Nice collection you have there. Looking forward to what you do with the 318.

I was reading the last part and I was thinking in my head, "Whats he talking about?? Old cars can be just as reliable if all the proper maintenance has been done. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about"

Then I scrolled down a bit and saw the pic, I laughed hahah!

      Welcome!!

Your 318is is more rare and arguably worth more. I would aesthetically turn it back to stock and throw the 325i's basket weaves on it.

Mod, beat, and ride the 325i like your ex on prom night.

Great! Good to know there's a couple guys over on this side of the metroplex (most of the ones I know are in Ft. Worthless, and as you and other Dallas people know, it feels like it's in another galaxy)
