    The new whip / build ! 91 325i

    The new ride! Picked it up last night, a 1 hour 20 minute ride turned into 3 hours each way, due to traffic / ice / accidents. Getting home at 3:30am wasn't too fun.. Lol but it was worth it. Picked it up for a winter project / restoration. It's a 91 325i. 5 speed, tan sport seats. Clean dash which is a plus. Needs work but that's the point. Will be doing a whole new refresh and will be getting painted so check it out as time goes by! I was told it was on German engineering coilovers sleeves? I guess that's what the previous owner said before him but he seemed to be clueless. Happened to take off the wheels and its on GC coilovers lol. Picked it up for 1500 with my own wheels. Needs a drivers and passengers fender and has a misfire. installed a MAF at Wendy's and it definitely is better now, but I think it just needs a fuel pump because I had that same problem in my other car. So will be installing a walbro 255 today. Not a bad deal if you ask me.. Oh and yeah has a m52 swap too.. ;) keep tuned for the upcoming build!

          So i installed a walbro 255 pump today, man she's loud! lol but still have the misfire around 2k RPM in 1st gear, however in 3rd gear with just as low RPM seems to have no issues. All coils are good, and also replaced the fuel pump as mention as well as TPS. Any ideas? I will be converting to obd1 in a week or 2. Just picked up a ECU and harness!

            How is fuel pressure? Yes I know you replaced the pump, but what about the filter?

            Why convert it to OBD I? OBD II lets you check things more in depth.

              Going turbo eventually and want to rewire the harness and all of that. Ive just changed the fuel pump. I willl be replacing the fuel filter today, but wouldn't it do it all the time and also in 3rd as well?

                1st and 2nd draw more fuel under load. I would do a simple fuel pressure check before throwing parts at it.

                This car was listed on C-list for 5.5K correct?

                            Pulling the m52 thats in the car currently.. I figured out the fuel problem that i had listed above, good engine runs excellent however i have another m52 out of a 97 328is that i had with 95k miles on it so obviously just going to be using that engine.. Here it is.. Will be cleaning it up ect. Will be using a ZF trans! Turbo is on it way along with many other goodies.. Stay posted!
