Hey folks,

Number of years back I built a SR20Det e30.

At 350ish hp it tore the diff out of the body so I parted (am still actually) it out.

Moved up to an E36 318ti, and stuck an RB26 in it. The progression only seemed natural.

350hp ripped out the diff? I'm surprised I haven't heard of that happening more often. Were you running huge slicks?

Toyo proxes R1R and 4.27 gears.

If I was dragging it I did a little burn out and started in second gear, dumped the clutch at 4500 rpm. By GPS the fastest 0-60 i did 4.0-4.4seconds. The car was stripped. Weighed nothing really.

Freaked out a few Viper/z06/modena/Bentley owners when my faded grey "piece of crap" E30 would destroy them all the way to 200km/h. Cornered like it was on rails. SR20 is all alloy, so the balance was super.

This E36 should be scarier. Motor is built/fueled for 550 +/- hp.
