    New Member - 1987 Bronzit 325is

I've been looking around for an E30 to work on for a couple months now. I finally picked one up a few weeks ago. Bronzit wasn't my first choice, but the paint is so faded that I figured a respray is in order no matter what. If my budget ever allows I'll get it redone, just haven't decided on a color yet.

Car was beautiful otherwise. Interior is immaculate, seats are original leather and are not torn or ripped. Engine is running well, most of the work has been done by the previous owner. It wasn't driven much since 2001 -- about 11k miles. But it has a working odometer reading 171k. New speakers/headunit. New shocks/lowering springs. Aftermarket rims with stock basket weaves. The aftermarket rims are going to be sold as soon as I find some replacements.

Here it is the day I brought it home. Needs a bit of work aesthetically.

Carpet cleaned up well, and I pulled up a couple corners and it appears to be mostly clear of rust.

Dash only has two cracks in it.

Replaced the broken drivers door lock.

Worked on some of the more prominent rust areas. While I was working on it I discovered that it appears the car was rear-ended at one point. Crappy welds and body filler all over the place. Its only primered right now, and I know its only a temporary fix, but it is better than bare rust!

Most recently I've been working on removing the tint. The old stuff is purpled and bubbling. Havent gotten to the rear window yet.

    Project list:

-Fix leaking seals on transmission. Replace guibo, tranny mounts, shifter bushings while I'm there.
    -Power steering flush
    -Brake fluid flush
-Figure out why the A/C isn't working (I'm guessing a lack of refrigerant)
-Replace coolant temp sensors (doing both because the gauge sender is cheap)
-Intake gasket, timing adjustment (probably doesnt need it - was only done a few thousand miles ago. Seems to be ticking quite loudly though)
    -Paint trim pieces
    -Paint valence
    -Diving Board polish/light tuck
    -Replace fog light lenses
    -New roundel's

Came with the wheels? Looks decent enough to start with! If the wheels are straight, I'd keep them over the konigs but that's just my opinion.

Yep it came with the wheels! I'm really on the fence with keeping these vs getting something different. I'm not a fan of the white, and I dont know if I would rather repaint these or sell them for something else. Bronzit is a hard color to work with.

Everybody knows Bronzit is the best.
Paint the wheels (silver) and keep them.

Just have the front two windows left to tint, and got the new rims mounted. 15x8" et20 Konig Wideopen.
