Picked up an Old members ride! Recognize it?

A few years back I sold my b5 A4 for an e30 I stumbled across down in Oregon. My buddy Eric Avery had an e30 in high school... Needless to say I fell in love the first time he let me drive it.

From what I've heard, CorvallisBMW is around on this forum pretty frequently.. Or used to be. Anyways this is his car as it sits now.

Of course, when I bought her she was on IX weaves with billy sports and H&R race springs if I remember correctly. I've had ruby now for about 3 years or so. Essentially have just done a few things - have her some new shoes, bc be type coils, a few other suspension upgrades, maintenance, and a few cosmetic changes. With my career changing.. I'm expecting to start building this thing. I'll have more pictures up if there's any interest. She definitely isn't perfect, but she gets LOTS of love from me.

Looks nice. Yeah I remember when he had someone harassing him about the sale ad years ago on craigslist. The Portland police got involved and made us close it down. It was one of the best threads in r3v history.

Nope, I heard rumors about it being in a wreck a while back.. It needs a re paint though. Rock chips galore from the owner before me.

Makes sense. It was a really nice car when Darin had it. Looks good now.

Thanks man, I'm constantly twisting bolts. Sadly she's my daily, but I'm getting ready buy an e46 to daily and throw this thing in my garage. Prep it for a bigger heart 👌

Ah yes, that was fun lol. Long story short, when I posted the car for sale years ago I got a couple angry, ranting tirade emails from some guy on CL who thought that all foreign cars were pieces of shit and that I should "buy American". I posted said emails on R3v and asked for suggestions on what to do, and within hours the poor guy had been inundated with phone calls from fake CL ads, gay beastiality porn, and hot sauce and pepperoni pizzas.

The little bitch called the police to say I was harassing him :giggle:

The thread still exists but has been moved to an "archive" spot that doesn't show up on google searches.. that's how bad it was.

Ya I'm still here :) I'm glad to see this thing is still kicking around, it was my first e30 (first car really) and always treated me well. Thanks for taking good care of her!

I had the passenger side front fender replaced after getting hit in a parking lot, otherwise I'm not aware of any body work. It had a lot of rock chips even when I first got it in 2002, the original owner lived in Palm Springs and drove a lot for work, so it got sandblasted pretty good.
