    Toms '88 is thread

    hey what's up r3v,
I'm 17 and I just picked up my first e30 about a month ago from a r3v member, I looked for so long and worked so many hours to be able to finally buy an e30, it feels good to start this thread and to fully own a car at this age.

schwarz black on grey leather interior
    200k ish miles
wheels are enkei and tires are 245/45 r16, they rub

so far I've just been trying to get it running strong and clean up the idle
done all the little stuff clean icv, afm, tb. changed the oil, replaced air filter, spark plugs, and o2 sensor. I've done some repainting and I've fixed a plethora of little problems like locks latches lights and wiring. put in an alpine head unit but the cars radio wiring is all screwed up so there's no sound. I just got an order of parts to rebuild the shifter with delrin bushings and an AKG dssr, front tierods, control arm bushings, and rear swaybar bushings. can't wait for a warm weekend!

I will try to take pictures and update this thread with projects as I go

I had time to wash and wax it in the cold today so here are some pics and an exhaust clip. it's just two glasspacks welded on to both pipes, it's pretty loud but I like it for now

Sweet car, my daily driver is a black exterior on grey interior '88is. I've done some of the same stuff you have to yours. I wish mine sounded that good, I just have a hole in the stock exhaust before the muffler.

thanks guys that means a lot!

here are some pics of work I've done, I changed the right outer tie rod and replaced the o2 sensor with a new ford sensor for 23 bucks just had to splice the old e30 connector on. there's a write up on it but if anyone wants I can send the link for the sensor I used, it saves a lot of money.
