Good work! Your cleaning everything up nicely and giving it a good coat to keep it protected for years to come!

What paint did you paint the calipers with? I like the color a lot

Yes, its been quite a journey. :) I think it started with September/'87. Mine left factory on 21th september 1987 so its one of the first i guess.

Thank you and yes, at least for as long as it doesnt die out. So far its running good and im keeping it because of all the oldtimer homologation and issues i might have if i swapped it with something else. I'll probably put m42 if something happens since m40s in good state are really hard to find these days (they are very prone to camshaft wear, so their days are counted). M42s are good consumption and powerwise for this car, especially as a daily driver.

It seems its getting better and better by each year. Its far from show room condition, in fact the chasis being rusted in so many places in the past might not be worth the time and money for a lot of people but its my first car and i guess it has some sentimental value for me by now so im sticking with it.

I did a DIY for my Slovenian forum so you probably wont understand anything but pictures say more then words. If there will be interest i might translate it in English.

I used an ordinal spray can from prisma color: http://industriesysteme-ettl.de/imag...0_2414_img.jpg Costs around 7$ here in Slo. We've done this on cars before and after a year or so its still looking fine. You can choose from matt or with added clearspray which is better in my opinion, at least for cleaning break dust off of it.:D
