    My E30 325i Cabriolet

    Hi guys.

I haven't really introduced myself yet, so here goes.

My name is Arni and I am pretty new to BMW's.
I have had many other cars, a Miata and there was a time when I was
a riceboy, having a Honda and all that :-)

Anyway, about a 1.5 years ago I started thinking about getting a BMW since
I had liked them for a long time. It's funny that I always prefered the BMW's that had "glass over the lights" over the older ones, but now I woulnd't want anything else han the e30 (and maybe an e28?).

So, about August 2002 I found a E30 cabrio here in Iceland, which is pretty cool because I believe that it is one out of total three in Iceland.

The car is an '89 320i, but luckily it seems that all cabrios have rear discs (not just the 325iC).
the 2.0 didn't stay very long as I sold it last christmas and starting looking for an M50.
I made a killer deal on an M50!! - but then that deal went down the drain when the motor had a sub-zero °C experience with no coolant (only water).
I didn't find any other M50's in the same price range so i bought a totalled 325i and swapped the motor in along with my friends last weekend.
Since I now "only" have an M20, I think the future plans will be a turbo, but I haven't decided anything about that yet :)

Cheers to oskard, gstuning and Stefan325i for the help! :)

I only have one decent picture of my car right now, but I will find the time to take better pictures soon.

Also the car has full black leather interior - sport seats with horizontal seams!, and I have a full M-tech I kit that I will put on in the next few months.

Oh, and the color is Diamond-Schwarz Metallic.

I'm dying to see it too, but it's the wrong color!
I do have some diamond-schwarz metallic in a spray can, but i'd rather have a professional do it for me since I tried spraying a trunk spoiler myself and it didn't turn out so good

          I'll do a wash - wax - photoshoot very soon :)

                    Also,
When do you plan on fitting the M-Tech 1 kit?

I am currently looking for someone to paint it for me since it's the wrong color :)
I hope i can finish fitting it this month!

I'll get better pics then 8)

Very nice! The paint looks great (I hope that is just rain on your hood).

135K miles is very decent, I can't wait to see the cabby with the Mtech-1 Kit

The M20 came with a 5-speed, right? That's one thing I'd be jealous of, because my car has an automatic, for now.

                            Yep that's just rain :)

And note that although the engine has about 135K miles on it, the car itself only has about 90K Miles! 8)

                            Yep, it's a 5-speed and I also installed a 3,91 LSD while I was swapping engines :P
