haha, people do love the suicide hoods. One great feature of the e30 for sure.

I get comments on that every time I pop my hood, usually at gas stations.

I love it myself, because when I was a kid, I always thought all those suicide hoods on little european cars were the coolest thing around.

"hodge-podge" comes to mind. Don't even know if I spelled it properly. but thats how I feel. The idea of gay to be funny/cool, reminds me of a buddy at work with a 97 four door, automushic, neon-ed, fart boxed, iced...etc., Mercury Tracer. Any way you look at it, it's gay. except they do it for the eye brow look... called "angry tape" on top of the lights. A favorite of the Mk1/Mk2 owners.

The cross of tape on the lights is for the track, helps prevent shattering the glass if a rock hits it.
