New wheels, sweet deal, quick pics

i managed to get a SWEEET deal on these Racing Dynamics rims. the guy i got them from had them on his civic and didn't have any idea of what they were, i pretty much stole them. at first i didn't like them, and i don't know if i'll be putting them on the car, but for the price i got them for, it would have been stupid not to buy them. now that i have them, they a sorta growing on me. they are really curbed though, but atleast they are straight.

    hmm....

i might just sell them as is. or refinish them, rock 'em for a while, then sell them when i get sick of them. what do you all think....?

    thanks for looking.

I would have them refinished, powdercoated silver, and put new RD emblems on them, and you'll make a shitload selling them on ebay.

refinished and everything, what do you think i can get? i dunno, i'm toying with the idea of having them refinished and painted in a gloss black. i've seen an e30 m3 with another set of rd's in gloss black and they were hot. just a thought though...something different.

I'd say with them completely repaired and refinished, you could probably get about $500-600 for them, possibly more depending on demand on ebay.

RD wheels are fairly sought after, especially by those going for replica conversions. A set in mint condition could fetch a good price.

Repairing and refinishing all four wheels would probably run you around 600 dollars. I had an OZ wheel with a 3 inch spot of curbage refinished at Wheel Collision last July for around 140-150 dollars.

Honestly, I'd just refinish 'em and keep them around. No hurry, they'll only appreciate in value and you don't need to recoup some crazy amount you would've paid off eBay.

Good point. Shit, spend the money to have them refinished and powdercoated, and have yourself a pristine set of long O.O.P. wheels that look perfect on an E30.

those wheels look sweet, you should defenetely keep'em.

I always wonder how people manage to scrape all 4 wheels that bad though...
There was someone on here who refinished a set of 15" basketweaves himself, you should look for some pointers around the net and try to do the work yourself.
Unless you LOVE the wheels, I don't see the point in spending 400-800 dollars you will spend refinishing them (which is what it will cost at Panther etc unless you have some hookups).

sand and repaint em...i re did one of my 15" weave sets in graphite, came up pretty good...easy to fix if you do scrape em too! gonna redo my other set in stock silver..unless i come up with a better idea

I had my RD's refinished and they came out absolutly beautiful.
I tell you it is great having a set of properly fitting E30 wheels.

I love the looks of them, would recommend hanging on to them!

I now a person who refinished my wheels, all of them for $200.00
                              Some had some serious curbing.
