Supposedly the Super Eta had 6 more horsepower than a regular Eta.

          Regular Eta:

          121 hp
          170 lb/ft torque

          Super Eta:

          127 hp
          170 lb/ft torque.

That's what I thought at least. There are a bunch of things that differentiate a Super Eta from an 85-87 Eta - I don't even know everything. But, I do know that the cylinders were only made in just the Super Eta engine, making that one unique feature. Basically, there are numerous factors that make it VERY easy to make a Super Ita engine.

          I cannot wait. :P

Unique Intake manifold, hybridized between the i & e manifolds
            Unique pistons
            2.7L supereta block
            eta crank
            eta head/cam/valves/etc
            i exhaust manifold
            super-eta muffler (extra throaty...hehe)
            Motronic 1.1
            Super-eta tachometer

            Think that's it.

The imtake manifold casting is identical to the i part, but it has different shit plugged into it.

Super eta block is just the same as any other eta
Super eta uses a i head, with single valve springs.

What Jordan said. How could kris have had this car for so long and not know what intake manifold and head it uses?!? Shame on you.
But yea, all you need to make a 2.7i is from a super eta is an "i" camshaft with dual valve springs, fuel injection bits, and an "i" computer. There might be small other small bits, but it's pretty damn easy.

wow, the i manifold on my car didn't look at all like the one on my neighbor's 325iS

long & skinny vs short & fat.

Oh well, it matters not to me anymore

Really? I thought the super eta had the "i" intake manifold and throttlebody? Well, I guess I'm not sure, although 100% positive all super eta's had the "i" head just with the eta cam and single valvesprings.

Sounds like someone swapped a eta intake manifold on for some reason.

Strange things happen when morons cant afford the repairs their cars need.

The super eta does not use a I intake manifold, it is completly different then both the I and eta manifold. The runners are super tiny and small, I've had all three manifold sitting side by side for comparison sake at the junkyard I worked and at the Super eta runners are tiny compared to the Eta and I manifolds.

One other thing to add here - It's SOO HARD to explain to people the differences between this car and my red one. But, the differences are too many to list. Some people just DO NOT get E30's...
