ak+ reporting in.The new d side fender came in yesterday. I'm going to see if I can pull out most of the nose myself, and then send it over to a body shop for the finishing touches/paintwork. I'm about 92% on sending the interior to ak+. It needs new front and rear seats. The door cards I can rebuild myself, which is what I want to do.
But yes, super potential. Super stoked.Leave a comment:

Well if and when you do start on that project, shoot me a message or something. I really want to see what you do to it. They are great trucks and yours has just the right amount of patina now, should you choose to keep it or not.Man don't even bring up the truck. I haven't touched it in a long time. It is currently sitting in pieces in a barn until I have the time/space/money to really get into it.
I really love the 58-59 apaches and early C10s. If you can find I good one you should pick one up. They are relatively cheap and so simple/utilitarian. I checked out that IG and they post some awesome stuff. I am thinking about taking a period correct offroad build (think old Napco 4x4s) on mine but at this point I am still just dreaming.
I will stay tuned on this build. Looks like nice 2002s just keep showing up on your doorstep.
2002s are fun. They give me something to spend my money and time on, in a therapeutic sense.
I'm also playing around with an extra valve cover I found. It's from an 84 318i I think. Don't know what the end product is, but it already looks similar to the early 60s m10 valve covers. I like it.

SF car came home today. Big thanks to Kronus for facilitating the deal on my behalf. He's a really nice guy.
Time to do stuff to this one too.

Shabrah! Where is your C10 build thread? I'm balls deep into looking for either a '59 Fleetside Apache or a '63-66 shortbed fleetside C10. Do you follow "StonerSpeedShop" on IG? They do some interesting builds on these old trucks. Worth checking out.
Thanks!
Car has been sitting. Waiting for the rust guy to finish his work. He cut out panels out of both the blue car and the florida car, then had an emergency and left the state, about 10 days ago. I don't want to raise an alarm yet. I'm hopeful he will come through. He has my donor metal. Hoping that have all that completed in the next week.
Waiting for a few parts to come in the mail as well. Things will be moving soon.Leave a comment:
