Hi guys . Im new here so hows about I introduce myself before I intoriduce my ride
Im a 22year old , Male , from Johannesburg,South Africa.
Down here in South Africa the e30 is extremely popular and is basically worshipped, even though its mainly heralded as the ultimate hood ride lol
Ive always loved e30s . Friend of mine has 5 ! Also because BMW had a division in South AFrica we got alot special/rae/fancy little additions/versions of this legendary ride
One of which is my 87 325i "Shadowline" coupe (as listed in our manuals and catalogues)
which was set apart of the rest by these little additions:
- colour coded steel bumpers(if im not mistaken)
- Abs breaking
- Limited slip diff
- Bilstein shocks
- Striping along the car from factory
- Blacking out the chrome trim on the windows
- e/w , p/s , c/l , 13 button obc
- There was something cool about the gearbox too if im not mistaken
- And as far as i know stock engine made 120kw and she made 126kw standard
- And my favourite -Houndstooth checkered Recaro seats
- I could be wrong but I think its a Homologation Racing car which Competed in the Stannic Group N Series, driven by by Tony Viana as per this article (http://www.evolution2.co.za/racing/c...25i-shadowline) which has extract
"
Tony Viana's Winfield BMW 325i Shadowline: The Shadowline’s main claim to fame was a higher compression version of the 2.5-litre straight six powerplant, and it was rated at 126kW and 226Nm – slightly more powerful but quite a lot more torquey than the mill fitted to the normal four-door. The hot version also had a limited-slip differential, while an ‘executive option’ package added electric front windows, aircon and power steering. A pair of front foglamps made kerbside ID easier. Without extras the basic Shadowline weighed in at a lean 1 140kg and this is how the racers were specced.

Oh yea and mind the rep wheels im a kid on a heavy budget lol always on the look out for a clean set of original 16" narrow and wide Alpinas off a 333i
