New Member - New project. Beat '87 325E

    Hello everyone, my name's Brandon.
I reside in San Clemente. ( South Orange County. ) Though I frequent SD county A LOT.
I just picked up this very rough looking 325E off a friend for dirt cheap.
Aside from the beat appearance she runs okay. I'll be adjusting the valves and doing a few other little jobs this coming week hopefully.

( Though I will be needing to replace the head gaskets and would like an experienced hand to help me. So if you're in So-Cal and would like to pocket a few hundred bucks, beers, and food, let me know. )

This is my first personal car / car project. Once I make sure she's all good under the hood I will be making plenty of cosmetic changes ( Trust me, I know it looks like shit ), so stay tuned for that.

Other than all that I'm fairly excited for what's to come. I look forward to learning more as I go and hopefully making plenty of friends along the way as I bring this thing back to life!

Am I crazy or does the patina on the front look awesome? Too bad the whole car isn't like that. A little bit of wet sanding and clear it.

Thats cool man I am on Pendleton like 20 minutes from San Clemente. I will keep a look out for you. Also if you can wait till the end of Oct. I will be back from Australia and I will be able to help you with the head gasket. I might also be able to sell you and Mtech wheel. It is based off if I can find something else.

                Nah, you aren't crazy!
I'll be honest though and say I hated it at first. But it's been growing on me to be honest.
And I've stumbled across a few full-patina e30's on instagram; I can deal with a little, but full exterior isn't really my thing!
Which part were you referring to for the sanding? The black or the patina?

Awesome dude! Then you're very likely to see me! I'd be down to wait til when you got back, but I'm getting a fair amount of smoke and I personally hate putting off any maintenance on stuff. Hopefully I can takle it within the next 2 weeks. Send me pictures of that wheel though.

Sweet, head gaskets are easy just make sure to get the head looked at to make sure its not cracked or warped.

Yea, we'll see how it goes! If I can't find anyone in the next 2 weeks, I'll just wait til you get back I guess; I'll keep you updated.
